What do ReCharge One do?
ReCharge One create unique green and environmentally friendly destination EV charging centers across the UK. Focussed on experiences alongside EV charging, ReCharge One provides experience that are the shape of our future. Their charging stations are combined with lodges providing holiday makers or long-distance travellers a place to stop, rest and recharge themselves. The mission of ReCharge One is to provide a haven for forward-thinking travellers who care about our planet’s health and sustainability.
ReCharge One focusses on four key areas related to sustainability and EV charging solutions;
- Innovative Off-Grid Charging Solutions – They work exclusively with Bio-CNG technology to ensure high specification results in all of their locations.
- Strategic Charging Locations – focussing on National Parks and areas of natural beauty in the UK, they are setting the standard for EV charging stations of this kind being in prime areas of the country.
- Defensibility: ReCharge One’s substantial investment, intellectual property (IP), and expertise in securing planning permission at Buriton form a robust deterrent for potential competitors.
- Overcoming Industry Barriers – As a business, they are committed to tackling bureaucratic hudles related to connectivity and planning permission with regards to all of their EV charging sites.

John D Wood were appointed by ReCharge One to acquire up to 10 sites across the UK, to assist with their business expansion. We are delighted to support such an innovative and forward-thinking company and are actively visiting sites and meeting developers and land owners alike to find sites that meet the ReCharge One requirements.
ReCharge One Property Requirements
ReCharge One are looking for new sites to expand their business with the below criteria;
- A minimum of 8 – 10 acres
- Close to areas of natural beauty
- Proximity to major trunk roads
- An underpass to serve both carriageways is helpful.
- Sites located within 5 miles of a reasonable size dairy farm or anaerobic digestor with 24 MW (Megawatt) electric export
- Sites where it is possible to locate overnight stay Cabins not shaded by trees.
- Sites that do not have a good grid electric
- Sites that have a good outlook and good local context such as local pubs and good country walks /
- Sites need to be free of any development covenants although failed planning applications may help
- Sites could potentially be part of existing country hotels or stately home.
